I am a strong supporter of unions. I firmly believe that the middle class grew in the 1950s because the union population grew. I have been a member of the Teamster's union and a member of the American Federation of Teachers (AFL CIO) for 33 years. I have also been a local union president several times. I believe collective bargaining is a right that no federal or state law can take away.

I am a strong supporter of the second amendment. It says that Americans have the right to buy and keep rifles and hand guns.
